Momentum at the The Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association (AOPA) conference 2023!
Last week Vorum were represented by our valued partner, Momentum, at the Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association (AOPA) conference 2023! This year’s theme for the conference was “Collaboration for Excellence.”
The conference was a great success! One of the most exciting aspects of any trade fair is the chance to meet new faces — individuals who share a passion for innovation and the drive to make a difference and have the chance to catch up with familiar faces in the O&P field. AOPA 2023 was no exception for Momentum Health Technologies.
With the theme of this year’s conference being “Collaboration for Excellence”, it is only fitting to discuss how Vorum and Momentum Health Technologies are working together to improve patient care and efficiency.
Momentum Health Technologies are an orthotic and prosthetic support facility located in Canberra, Australia. They offer central fabrication services, equipment, components, and materials in addition to sales and support of Vorum products, such as Vorum’s design software, Canfit and one of our 3D scanners, Luma.
With the introduction of Luma to the Australian market, Vorum and Momentum worked together to open the possibilities for remote and smaller clinics that were struggling to find an effective solution that didn’t require a large up-front investment. Leveraging Vorum’s Luma scanner and Canfit design software means that they can see more patients and reduce their turnaround time.
“One of the big benefits of CAD/CAM is its ability to alleviate a lot of those manual processes and if we can eliminate plaster casting… Even casting for scanning out of fibreglass takes less time. Live scanning reduces the casting process entirely.” – Lewis Meeny
A huge thank you to everyone who showed support to Momentum Health Technologies at the conference and to the Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association Ltd. For hosting an excellent conference!
