January 22, 2021 at 6:39 pmI’ve just recently found your podcasts and have been finding them informative. I’m an occupational therapist who practices in assistive technology. I have convinced my employer to purchase a 3D printer with hopes of making accessory components for wheelchairs and other custom widgets for the patient’s we see. I would like to be able to use our 3D scanner to capture shapes and then modify the image to meet the needs of the user. We have access to 3D scanners used for capturing foot molds for making shoe inserts. I’ve been able to capture my shape but thus far have been unable to figure out how to modify it to my needs. I’ve been using Fusion 360 and played around a little with Tinkercad. Is there a function in either of these software platforms or will I need to find something different to do this? I also work for a non-profit so cost is always a factor.
thanks and keep producing episodes…I’ll keep listening
