What is the Canfit™ 4-Axis CAM™ software?

The Canfit™ 4-Axis CAM™ software gives you the capability to carve shoe lasts on Vorum's FootWare™ Carvers.

This software provides a graphical interface between the Canfit™ FootWare™ design software and the carving machine. Once your design file is transferred into Canfit™ 4-Axis CAM™ software, you have full control over the position and orientation of the shape within the carving material. Adjustment features within the software allow for optimal placement of the shoe lasts within the carving material.


How does the Canfit™ 4-Axis CAM™ software work?

After you have completed your design in the Canfit™ FootWare™ design software, you can then export your design file to the program: Canfit™ 4-Axis CAM™ software

  • Load your design shape in the Canfit™ 4-Axis CAM™ software
  • Choose the material of the carving block (ie. high density polyethylene or hard wood)
  • After the carving block is chosen, you may start adjusting how you would the shoe last to be carved within the block.
  • Once your shoe last is adjusted within the block and ready to go, you may then save your carve file.
  • The carve file from Canfit™ 4-Axis CAM™ software is loaded into the carver via direct cable link.

To carve shoe lasts, yes you need this software. This software converts your scan and/or design file to a format that is readable by the carver.
