Production Planner

As the Production Planner, you will manage all inventory transactions as well as procure and expedite any raw materials or finished goods required to meet our customer needs. By meeting their needs, we can ensure that they meet the needs of the O&P community. Also, in this role, you will work with our Manufacturing and Regulatory Lead to manage the day to day relationships with manufacturing partners and ensure that onsite and incoming quality inspections are performed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with the Implementation Team and the sales forecast to establish a production schedule to meet the needs of upcoming projects. Ensure that we have adequate Finished Goods ready to ship to meet the fulfillment plan
  • Release Purchase Orders (POs) and own the supplier management to ensure that delivery commit dates are established and met
  • Perform onsite quality audits at key manufacturing partners to ensure that products are manufactured per the Vorum specification
  • Create Production Orders and create the production kits for release to manufacturing (in-house and subcontracted)
  • Ensure that incoming raw materials are received and inventoried accurately after performing the incoming inspection required for each product
  • Own the inventory accuracy level by monitoring the movement of materials in or out of the warehouse
  • Play a key role in the weekly Fulfillment Meeting and present a plan that will deliver the Finished Good as required to meet the Implementation Plan
  • Support the creation and maintenance of manufacturing documentation (BOMs) for suppliers
  • Create strong supplier relationships that foster trust and true long-term partnerships
  • Expedite PO’s as required
  • Work with Finance Team to own periodic inventory counts

Qualifications

  • Passion for making a difference
  • Knowledge of purchasing standards, policies, procedures and strategies, procurement strategies, supply management philosophy and techniques, basic Quality Auditing processes
  • Completion of a diploma or certificate in Operations Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent;
  • Solid service skills; you make customers and suppliers feel cared about, and you are committed to resolving issues quickly, correctly, and with empathy
  • APICS CPIM designation or equivalent
  • Must enjoy being part of team that manages multiple priorities across multiple customers
  • Must demonstrate initiative and a penchant for working independently
